For the Blumenball, Vienna's municipal gardeners turn the banqueting rooms of City Hall into a sea of blossom, and the floral decoration is genuinely the main event. The 103rd Ball of the City Gardens has a reputation as one of the season's most relaxed, deliberately less stiff than the grand Hofburg balls. The programme spans several musical styles alongside a broad food offering.
